With the clocks going back at the end of October, many of us (including our field engineers) find ourselves spending many hours driving in the dark on wet and potentially flooded roads.
‘Fit for purpose’ is just as applicable to winter driving preparation as it is for any other works we undertake, and we should ensure that not only are our vehicles fit for purpose but that we are also in a position to adjust our driving habits accordingly.
The Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) has produced an excellent free facts sheet and I would encourage all to download and communicate internally. The factsheet can be found at – Winter driving – ROSPA
